Caring for Our Community

Hand2Hand

Hand2Hand provides food each weekend for families in need at Sheldon Woods Elementary School.  To be a part of this ministry, please consider donating non-perishable food items to Harlem’s pantry or becoming a H2H volunteer! Volunteers are needed for various tasks such as organizing the pantry, packing backpacks each week and delivering them to the school.

Donations Needed: canned chicken/tuna/ham, canned vegetables, individual packets of oatmeal, peanut butter & jelly, spaghetti sauce, canned soup

Kids’ Hope

Kid’s Hope is a program that partners adult mentors from Harlem with students from Sheldon Woods Elementary School. Mentors meet with their child once a week for an hour to develop an encouraging and caring relationship to show them the love of Jesus. If you’re interested, please contact Kid’s Hope director Angie Helder.

Food Distribution

On the fourth Monday evening of each month, Harlem provides a hot meal and groceries for anyone who comes to receive these gifts. Volunteers help cook and serve the meal and assist families going through the grocery line in the parking lot.

Registration begins at 4:30 pm
Distribution begins at 5:30 pm

We can always use more volunteers. If you would like to help, simply come between 3:30 and 5:30 on the fourth Monday and we will find a job for you.

Next Food Distributions: January 22, February 26, March 25
